A very Scarce .577 Enfield 2nd Model three band Military percussion rifle,55 1/2in.,barrel 39in,ladder rearsight to 900yds,Fullstocked (some old worm damage,filled)Enfield Lock ,Crown stamped and dated 1863,regulation brass mounts, buttcap tang,Steel barrel bands,retained by springs,steel swivels and ramrod, various Enfield Inspection markes on barrel and stock well marked to various regiments first is 1-18 = 1st Batt of The ROYAL IRISH , weapon number 677.. then to IRISH GUARDS 4th Company....then to F.St.G. a very interesting Rifle with a very Tracable History in lovely condition for its age and battle history
